The department is devoted to the service of children, including new born, premature and low birth weight babies; and adolescents. It  provides Preventive, Curative and Investigative services, Healthy Baby Clinics, an Immunization Clinic, Ante-natal Clinics advising mothers on the intra-uterine growth of the baby, and the resuscitation and care of new born babies, with special counseling for problem children.

The department has all diagnostic facilities; a well equipped laboratory, a X-Ray facility, a Color Doppler, ECG & EEG Facilities, Cardiac & Oxygen Monitors with nebulizer, an attached Minor Operation Theatre for minor diagnostic procedures and most importantly, a well trained and dedicated nursing staff. "Care Before Cry", our Labor Room services are oriented towards administering safe deliveries; it provides a 24 hrs delivery service, a fully equipped, air conditioned labor room,  an electronic cardio-tographic machine for the continuous ante-partum monitoring of the foetal heart rate, uterine activity, alarm with foetal diatress, continuous graphic recordings and a resuscitation trolley with overhead warmer.
